Chocolate Chip Muffins

Yesterday, I tried making Chocolate Chip Muffins and it turned out well but very crumbly (lots of crumb fell out when we eat). I would like to know how to make the muffins very dense as the ones selling outside. Thanks.

Where can I get the following and are they Halal for me to bake cakes?
1.rum liqueur
2. coffee liqueur

You can substitute liqueur with flavourings. They can be bought at most baking supplier shops. Eg. Rum liqueur can be replaced with Rum/Mixed fruit flavouring.

Cake crumbs

I have a baked a butter cake and tried putting butter icing on it but there's a lot of crumbs coming out from cake. What should I do?

To make icing a cake easier, you can crumb coat it first. Crumb coating is to apply a thin layer of icing to the cake so that the crumbs are sealed in place. Allow it to set for one or two hours in the refrigerator before frosting and adding other decorations to the cake.
