Instructions

  1. Place spice paste ingredients in a blender and process till fine.
  2. Place the oil in a pot and saute spice paste with lemongrass stalk and chilli paste till aromatic.
  3. Add the peanuts, stirring, then water, brown sugar, salt and sugar to taste. Cook until mixture is thick, then add the tamarind paste and santan. Simmer for 10 minutes. If necessary, add hot water to adjust texture. Remove from heat and serve immediately with nasi impit.

1 genggam kacang tanah
5 tangkai cili kering
5 biji bawang merah
Asam jawa
Garam
Gula

Method

Goreng kacang tanah, cili kering yang telah dibasuh dan bawang merah yang telah dikopek secara berasingan. Tumbuk atau kisar semua bahan. Gaulkan di dalam mangkuk. Masukkan air masak. Gaul. Letak garam dan gula secukup rasa. perah asam jawa.
