According to Armada Hotel Petaling Jaya, this is the season to be eco-conscious.

This time around the hotel has decided to adopt a green concept for Christmas by using recycled decorations.

Its going-green concept encompasses elements such as Christmas tree made of bottles to colourful toilet roll ornaments to a chandelier made from recycled materials, which hangs in the lobby.

The hotel is set to welcome the Christmas spirit along with a great cause of conserving Mother Nature.

When it comes to dining, the hotel has a Christmas Eve buffet dinner spread at Utara Coffee House priced at RM75++ per person.

Expect to feast in some scrumptious dishes such as Traditional Christmas Turkey with Walnut Stuffing, Boston Oyster Leek Soup, Broccoli with Turkey Ham Sauce, Christmas Fried Rice, Roast Duck with Apple Sauce, Pan-seared Lamb with Garlic Soubise, Charbroiled Chicken with Red Pepper Coulis, Mussel Florentine and Louisiana Pumpkin Pie.

Other dishes include Mushroom Chicken Pie, Stir-fried Chicken in Yam Ring, Glass Noodles with Prawns, Fresh Oysters, Stuffed Potato Skin with Shrimp, Spaghetti Marinara, Vegetable Cannelloni and assorted Chinese cold cuts.

For desserts, indulge in Christmas Pudding with Custard Sauce, Classic Yule Log Cake, Black Forest Mousse, Assorted French Pastries, Bread Raisin Pudding and Saxon Pudding.

During Christmas day, there is a high-tea priced at RM65++ per person. Its menu includes Mushroom Lyonner, Baked Fish with Spinach, Grilled Lamb, Kaki-Age, Roasted Chicken Ballontine and Christmas Stollen.

The Christmas Day buffet dinner, also priced at RM65++, will feature dishes such as Christmas Pizza, Kambing Marsala, Crusted Fish with Dill Sauce, Pan-seared Lamb with Garlic Flakes and Daging Masak Serai.

Children below six years of age get to dine for free while domestic helpers get to dine at half price on all three occasions.

The hotel will also collaborate with Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam (Peka) — an organisation dedicated to maintaining and restoring Malaysia’s natural heritage forests.

Peka will be making an appearance during this period to raise funds and also to spread the importance of conserving Mother Nature with fun activities.

To usher in the New Year, there will also be a New Year’s Eve buffet dinner priced at RM75++ per person, with dishes such as Mexican Baked Seafood Rice with Mozzarella, Lamb Primantier, Louisiana Pan-seared Fish with Pimientos, Cajun Baked Crabs and Chicken Roulade with Garlic Sauce.

For the New Year’s Day high-tea priced at RM65++ per person, the fare will include Lolo Rosso, the hotel’s signature Roti Durian, Vol-au-vent Brioche, Margherita Pizza, Kari Kepala Ikan, Steamed Lotus Rice, Braised Duck with Mushrooms and Seafood Pot Pie.
