It opened its doors in June last year.

Bali Assam House is the first in Ipoh to serve cod in their Assam Fish dish, although you can select the other types of fish available as well.

Whichever you prefer, this dish is the perfect combination of spicy, creamy, savoury, and sweet flavours infused with the subtle essence of the fish.

One would definitely find oneself reaching for more of its delicious gravy.

The Pandan Chicken is another dish to shout about.

The combination of spices and condiments defines this dish which makes it different from other pandan chicken elsewhere.

On top of that, only chicken thighs are used for this dish.

As for the vegetables, you will fall in love with the Mixed Vegetables dish even if you are not a fan of greens.

The vegetables are cooked with chillies and belacan.

This dish alone will make a fine meal by itself when eaten with steaming white rice.

Enough said about the food. Just head on down to have a taste and you will see for yourself.

The menu lists quite a number of choices for fish, squid, chicken, prawns, pork and tofu served up in a variety of ways.

Chinese-style soups are also available.

All the dishes served in the Bali Assam Hosue have been perfected by its proprietor and chef, who is simply known as Ah Wong.

Such is his passion for cooking.

His signature Assam Fish is the result of 10 years’ worth of refining and experimenting.

Ah Wong also says that one must “cook with heart” for the food to turn out well.

The success of Bali Assam House rests on his commitment to serve good quality and delicious food at affordable prices.

He also strives to ensure that his customers walk out feeling happy and satisfied after every visit.

The restaurant is open every day between 11.30am and 10pm, with a respite between 3pm and 5pm on weekdays.
