Flavors Restaurant at Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences is offering a traditional red and gold Christmas Buffet and the highlight of the feast is a carving stall with Oven Roasted Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing.

Executive sous chef Wong Yean Loong said the turkey was marinated for a day, steamed then baked for an hour to retain its deliciously juicy flavours.

The restaurant’s Chestnut Stuffing complements the Oven Roasted Turkey with its nutty graininess.

It is served with Button Mushroom, Giblet or Cranberry Sauce with roasted chestnuts baby carrots and brussel sprouts.

Another traditional Christmas delicacy is the scrumptious Roasted Herb Wellington Beef.

The lavish dish of grilled Australian beef is covered in crisp puff pastry and mushrooms and marinated in fresh herbs.

“It is an added luxury to have the dish alongside the turkey as it symbolises grandeur,” said Wong.

A sumptuously decadent Santa’s Winter Pumpkin Soup and the Pan Fried Salmon have a refreshing orange twist.

The soup incorporates a blend of fresh herbs, celery, onions and carrots, fresh orange zest, leek and pumpkin into chicken stock to create a fragrant, luscious soup.

The richness of the Pan Fried Salmon is perfectly balanced by the slightly tangy Orange Sauce.

The Christmas Buffet is definitely traditional, said Swiss-Garden International’s corporate marketing communications manager Linda Evelyn Wong “We believe Christmas should be celebrated traditionally but infused with contemporary elements,” she said.

The spread of savoury dishes includes Veal Medallion with Mustard Sauce, Smoked Duck with Aglio Olio Spaghetti, Succulent Scallops with Spicy Garlic Sauce and Braised Lamb Shank Osso Buco.

There is also a grilled meat station, fresh seafood and a huge variety of cold cuts and salads.

Remember to save some room for an assortment of sweet treats such as Ginger Bread, Christmas Mince Pies and Stollen and the deeply sinful chocolate Christmas Yule Log and Christmas Pudding with Vanilla Sauce.

The Christmas Buffet Dinner is on until Dec 24 from RM75++ per adult and RM39++ per child.

A Christmas Day Buffet Hi-Tea is also available on Dec 25 at RM65++ per adult and RM33++ per senior citizen or children below 12.
