Themed Kembali ke Desa, the iftar (breaking of fast) buffet presented scrumptious fare from north, south and east coast of Malaysia.

The hotel’s executive chef Azmi Md Sidek with his team have prepared a variety of distinctive dishes from the south such as Briyani Gam Batu Pahat, Mee Rebus Melaka, Laksa Johor and Asam Pedas Melaka.

One can also expect Siput Gulai Lemak and Nasi Minyak Diraja.

To have a taste from the northern region, one can opt for Nasi Tomato, Ikan Tenggiri Opah and Rojak Pasembor while the east coast fare included Udang Goreng Daun Limau Kasturi and Nasi Dagang.

Apart from Malay cuisine, the hotel’s culinary team is out to tantalise tastebuds with whole roast lamb, lasagna, pizza, chicken teppanyaki and assorted sushi.

“We chose to serve popular and rare dishes for this special promotion.

“We recommend patrons try the festive dishes that are hard to find during regular times such as Rendang Betawi and Nasi Minyak Diraja,” said chef Azmi who has more than 20 years of culinary experience under his belt.

The buffet is priced at RM89++ for adults and RM50++ for children aged four to 11. This is the writer’s personal observation and is not an endorsement by StarMetro.
