During Ramadan, after fasting between sunrise and sunset, a good halal meal like that offered at GTower Hotel in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, is welcome.

The Ramadan buffet, served at the hotel’s Rajang Hall on the Mezzanine Floor, is rather generous in spread and variety.

The taste of Malay cuisine is kept authentic and diners also have a choice of Western and other Asian fare.

For starters, try the Penang pasembor, kerabu ayam, kerabu perut and kerabu jantung pisang.

There is also a variety of soups and porridge. The must-try dishes are bubur lambuk and sup ekor (oxtail soup) and the latter goes well with bread and butter.

Next, feast on a wide choice of main dishes including Ayam Masak Kari dengan Kentang, Daging Salai Percik, Ikan Keli Goreng Cili Padi, aloo gobi and Sambal Udang, to name a few.

These dishes are perfect with steamed white rice or the colourful Nasi Hujan Panas.

Executive chef Johnny Fua and his team of experienced chefs make it a point to ensure that the food served is fresh and tasty.

“This is the third year GTower is organising its Ramadan buffet. We want to give diners a good spread,” he said.

There are also stalls serving noodles, condiments, baked red snapper and satay.

For dessert, try the cendol, pengat labu, sagu, rojak buah and assorted Malay and Nyonya kuih as well as fresh fruits.

The Ramadan buffet is priced at RM90++ per adult and RM45++ for children aged seven to 12 while those below six years old eat for free.
