RELIVE your nostalgic kampung memories this Ramadan at Saddle Coffeehouse at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort as they whip up traditional Malay dishes in their “ala kampung” buffet.

With over 100 authentic kampung dishes to choose from, the buffet spread promises a scrumptious experience that you will never forget.

For starters, there is the juicy Kurma Madu along with the pulut kuning, beef serunding and kerabu salad.

If you like your food hot and spicy, be sure to add on to your plate their highly recommended cincaluk and sambal belimbing that will definitely add a kick to your meal.

Moving on to the main course, take your pick from a wide range of mouth-watering traditional Ramadan dishes, like Siput Sedut Masak Lemak, Ketam Goreng Berlada, Sambal Udang Petai, Daging Masak Hitam, Ayam Percik, Paru Goreng Berlada, Sayur Campur Goreng Sambal and their Sup Gearbox.

This rich-flavoured beef soup with its special spices and garnishing, offers nothing but heavenly goodness and will definitely keep you coming back for more.

Diners can also whet their appetite on the Beef or Chicken Gulai Kawah, as well as the Laksa Buyong, prepared using freshly ground spices to tantalise your taste buds.

Head chef Hasnol Talib claims that their gulai kawah is one of the best in town.

“We have used only fresh meat and spices in preparing the dish to give it an authentic taste. The broth is cooked the traditional way, over slow wood fire and that’s what makes it taste so good,” he said.

No Ramadan is complete without the must-have bubur lambuk, so be sure to try out their special varieties of condiment to give your rice porridge a personal touch.

Aside from Malay cuisine, the spread also features a mix of Indian and Chinese dishes to give the buffet a 1Malaysia feel.

There is also, sushi and maki rolls offered at the Japanese corner.

Live stations will also be set up to offer other favourites, such as roast lamb leg, wok cuisine, sushi, grilled ikan kembong, mamak cuisine, roti canai and murtabak.

Complete your meal with some of their alluring desserts, such as rojak buah, ABC, cendol, ice cream, Peach Crumble, bubur kacang, cucur udang, pisang goreng and more.

To complement the festive atmosphere, there will also be a Ghazal performance to keep you entertained as you enjoy your meal from 6.30pm to 9.30pm everyday.

The Ramadan Buffet is priced at RM65nett per adult (club member); RM69nett for non-members and RM39nett per child.
