THERE is much reason to cheer as Sakae Sushi has unveiled flavourful surprises with its new menu.

The Japanese franchise and its familiar green frog logo has 26 eateries in Malaysia and is presenting a menu packed with new flavours, great offers and is value for money.

The menu features more than 50 new additions spanning across numerous categories.

“We hope to provide more food choices to our diners,” said Sakae Sushi Marketing general manager Yew June.

Keeping sashimi lovers in mind, the menu offers a delectable variety of additions such as mekajiki toro(swordfish belly) and fresh combinations like Sashimi Moriawase Aki, which features four kinds of sashimi, and Sashimi Moriawase Zen that has an assortment of seven types of sashimi.

All of the sets come with the must-have salmon, prepared with fresh premium Atlantic salmon, renowned for its naturally superior quality and flavour.

In line with the restaurant’s “farm to table” principle, the salmon is directly air-flown from Norway to ensure absolute freshness and quality. Those with a craving for sushi will certainly love the Aburi Salmon Maki, an intricately-designed roll of luscious topping of half-broiled salmon, crabstick, shrimp roe and mayonnaise.

The Salmon Zukushi, is an assortment of five mouthwatering luxurious salmon dishes that includes Salmon Mentai Sushi, Hana Maki and Salmon Roe, which are specially handcrafted by Sakae’s master chefs. For customers seeking fuss-free enjoyment, the Sachi and Fuku sets offer a sumptuous variety of signature sushi selections such as salmon, tuna, prawn, Japanese omelette, shrimp roe and more.

Sakae’s sushi rice comes with added Vitamin E, assuring customers of a hearty and healthy meal at all times.Those who enjoy yakimono can take their pick from Tebasaki (honey glazed chicken wing), Sakana Shioyaki (salt grilled salmon and swordfish) and Ni Hotate Teriyaki (scallop with teriyaki sauce) while the new Sakae pizza is made with pizza lovers in mind.

The Smoked Kamo Nabe, a tantalising hotpot with generous servings of smoked duck, mushrooms and assorted vegetables in clear broth, is also a new item.

Customers are given the option to complete their dining experience by adding on rice, chawanmushi and miso soup with selected ala-carte orders through the “add-on” selections. For young children, the two attractive specially designed meal boxes such as fire engine and train sets are bound to make their dining experience a whole lot better.
