ECCUCINO restaurant of Prince Hotel and Residence Kuala Lumpur has a new offering for food enthusiasts and the hotel’s guests.

It is holding its Persian Food Festival dinner buffet promotion that is only available from now until March 31.

The man behind the buffet spread is Chef Shahriar Azarakhshi, the restaurant’s chef de cuisine who hails from Iran.

“We have created a menu of authentic Persian food for this special buffet, but we have adjusted some of them to suit local tastebuds.

“Many ingredients used in this menu were imported from Iran to make sure of the dishes’ authenticity,” he said.

Treat your tastebuds to a variety of colourful and savoury dishes like Mirza Ghasemi or Persian eggplant, a dish made of eggplant, tomato and seasoned with herbs and salt.

It can be eaten with rice, bread or on its own.

Chef Shahriar also highly recommends unique dishes like fesenjan duck cooked with walnuts and pomegranate juice.

The buffet is also filled with a variety of Persian herb rice such as Zaffror Polo, which cooked with saffron and stanbuli brown, a basmati rice cooked with lamb.

In conjunction with the Persian New year or the spring equinox which falls on March 20 and 21 the buffet will be added with special dishes that are only beinng served during festive season in Iran.

The buffet spread is priced at RM98 nett for adults while children aged under 12 dine for free.
