Chinese Dumplings by Bee Yinn Low



  • 200g Minced chicken
  • Cabbage
  • 100g Prawns
  • 2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 2 tbsp Light soya sauce
  • 3 Dashes of white pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • Grated ginger
  • Spring onions
  • Dumpling wrappers


  1. Boil water.
  2. Place minced chicken in a bowl.
  3. Add cabbage.
  4. Mix the prawns in.
  5. Add Sesame oil, Shaoxing Wine, soya sauce, white pepper, salt, grated ginger and chopped spring onions.
  6. Mix thoroughly.
  7. Place dumpling wrapper on palm.
  8. Scoop a spoonful of the mix on top
  9. Dab water along the edge
  10. Fold & press firmly.
  11. Place dumplings in boiling water.
  12. Boil till dumplings float and take out.
  13. Slice some ginger, and pour Chinese Black Vinegar into sauce bowl.
  14. Serve hot
