Recipe Ingredient

  • 500g walnuts, skin removed
  • 200g sugar
  • 5 tbsp water
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Oil for deep frying


  1. Soak walnuts in hot water for 10 minutes and remove the skin. Boil sugar and water till sugar dissolves. Mix in the walnuts and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain off the liquid.
  2. Heat two bowls of oil and deep-fry the walnuts till golden brown. Coat walnuts with toasted sesame seeds while the walnuts are still hot.
