Recipe Notes

Nutritional Tips

  •  The key to a healthy stew is to use more vegetables and less meat, making it both hearty and healthy. Stews are a great way to combine protein and vegetables so make sure to add a variety of vegetables such as carrots, parsnips, celery, broccoli and sweet potatoes.
  • If serving the stew with bread, use wholegrain, multigrain or pumpernickel bread.
