- Boil water, pandan leaves and sugar for 35 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
- Discard pandan leaves.
- Put sifted flours and green pea flour in a mixing bowl. Pour in hot syrup to mix. Add in oil and work into a soft dough.
- Form small marble-sized balls and wrap each piece around 12 pieces of chopped gula Melaka.
- Drop the balls of dough into a pot of boiling water. Cook until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted or perforated spoon. Drop onde-onde into the grated coconut. Toss well to mix.
