Recipe Ingredient

  • 150g cold butter, cut into small cubes
  • 250g icing sugar, sifted
  • 3 tbsp cold UHT milk
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla essence or any other essence of your choice

Instructions

  1. Cream butter with an electric beater until light to almost creamy then slowly add icing sugar, alternating it with cold milk.
  2. Keep on beating until the butter icing is light and fluffy. Stir in the essence and beat until it is well blended.
  3. You can divide your butter icing into three or four portions and add a different colouring to each portion so that you´ll get different-colored icing for your cupcakes.
