- 3 1/2 cups light cream or milk
- 1 1/2 tsps instant coffee powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 5 eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- Whipped cream
- Heat cream, coffee powder and cinnamon to scalding. Combine with eggs beaten with sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour into a shallow baking dish. Place dish in a pan of hot water.
- Bake custard in moderate oven (about 180°C) for about 35-40 minutes until firm. Cool before serving with whipped cream.
