Recipe Ingredient

  • Cake Batter:
  • 120g Anchor Unsalted Butter
  • 50g sugar
  • 60g brown sugar
  • 120g eggs
  • 120g all purpose flour
  • 2g baking powder
  • 2g baking soda
  • 3g cinnamon powder
  • 2g nutmeg powder
  • Apple Noisette:
  • 300g green apples
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 50g Anchor Unsalted Butter
  • 10g lemon juice


    Apple Noisette:
  1. In a pot, cook brown sugar and Anchor Unsalted Butter until butter is browned and fragrant. Add apples.
  2. Cook and reduce for 5 to 10 minutes until thick.
  3. Add in lemon juice.
  4. Cool down before using.
  5. Cake Batter:
  6. Preheat oven to 180C.
  7. In a mixing bowl, cream Anchor Unsalted Butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  8. Add in room temperature eggs and mix well.
  9. Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and nutmeg powder. Make sure there are no lumps.
  10. Pour batter into a 9" cake mold and keep in chiller for 30 minutes.
  11. Scoop apples onto the cake and bake for 45 minutes or until cooked.
