Recipe Ingredient

  • Cookie Dough
  • 227g Anchor Unsalted Butter
  • 60g Castor Sugar
  • 50g Egg
  • 4g Vanilla Essence
  • 350g All Purpose Flour
  • Date Filling (Ready Made), as needed
  • Cloves, as needed
  • Glaze
  • 20g Egg Yolk
  • 30g Egg Whites
  • 10g Food Colouring, as needed
  • Royal Icing
  • 30g Egg Whites
  • 180g Icing Sugar
  • 10g Lemon Juice
  • 6g Green Colouring


  1. Preheat oven to 180C. In a mixing bowl, mix Anchor Unsalted Butter and Castor sugar until mixed well.
  2. Add in the egg and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  3. Sift in the all-purpose flour, and mix until dough is formed. Set aside.
  4. Roll 5g of date filling into balls and set aside.
  5. Portion dough into 10g, and cover date filling.
  6. Shape into shapes of fruit (apple, orange, guava, mangosteen, durian, etc). Decorate with cloves & bake for 12 minutes.
  7. Take out cookies and glaze with coloured egg yolk glaze. Continue baking for 5 minutes.
  8. Set aside to cool.
  9. Prepare Royal Icing
  10. Mix ingredients together until desired consistency and pipe on top of cookies.
