- Steam Glutinous Rice Recipe:
- 350g Glutinous Rice
- 100g Anchor UHT Extra Yield Cooking Cream
- 300g Water
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- Green Colouring, as needed
- For Lepat Pisang Batter:
- 250g Mashed Ripe Banana
- 200g All-Purpose Flour
- 80g Shredded Coconut
- 1 tsp Salt
- 200ml Water
- Other Ingredients:
- 14 pieces of 15 cm x 15cm Banana Leaves
- 100g Anchor Hi-Melt Cheese, shredded
Instructions
- To make the glutinous rice, first strain the pre-soaked rice & then add with Anchor Extra Yield Cooking Cream, water, cooking oil, salt and green colour.
- Ensure to mix all until well combines, place in a mixing bowl & steam for around 30minutes or until soften.
- Next to make the lepat pisang batter, simply add in the mashed banana, all-purpose flour, shredded coconut, salt and water. Mix well to combine.
- To assemble, place a piece of banana leaves on chopping board and then place 70g of flatten steamed glutinous rice.
- Then add 50g of the lepat pisang batter & 1 tbsp of shredded Anchor Hi-Melt Cheese, fold the banana leaves and steam it for around 15-20minutes. Enjoy!
