- Grease cookie trays and line with greased baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.
- Cream margarine and both types of sugars and vanilla essence together until light and fluffy. Fold in sifted dry ingredients and stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Mix and combine well.
- Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough onto prepared trays, about 4cm to 5cm apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake in preheated oven until lightly browned for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight containers.
