Recipe Ingredient

  • 1 kg large squid
  • Marinade (A), combined
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, finely crushed
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp freshly crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 limes, squeezed for juice

Instructions

  1. Clean squid and cut each into 3-4 pieces. Cut each piece with a sharp knife at intervals of 1cm (this helps each piece to open up like a flower.)
  2. Season the squid slices with (A) for 5-10 minutes. Wrap the squids in a piece of aluminium foil. Grill for 3-5 minutes or until cooked.
  3. Serve with tomato and chilli sauce if preferred.
