Recipe Ingredient

  • A
  • 10oz. / 230gm.butter
  • 7oz. castor sugar / 230gm. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • B(mix well and sieve)
  • 10 oz. plain flour /230 gm. flour
  • 1 tsp.all spice powder
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • C
  • 12 oz./340 gm. fruit mix
  • 50 gm . raisins
  • 50 gm . red cherries
  • 50 gm .green cherries
  • 50 gm .almonds chopped finely
  • D
  • 5 tablespoon or 2 oz. brandy
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tablespoon golden syrup

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar for 4 minutes
  2. Add eggs one at a time. For each addition cream for about 1 minute.
  3. Fold in (B)
  4. When well-blended, fold in (C)
  5. Lastly add in (D)
  6. Pour into 2 loaf tins when well mixed. and bake at 180 degrees for 1/2 an hour. then cover with foil and bake until brown. (about 1/2 hr.)
