200g kou fun (commercial cooked glutinous rice flour), for coating
200g toasted peanuts, finely ground
50g toasted sesame seeds
70g castor sugar
Combine both types of glutinous rice flours. Add in brown sugar and water to mix. Pour into a lightly greased tray and steam over medium heat for 40-45 minutes until cooked through. Remove the tray from steamer and stir with a wooden spoon until mixture is smooth. Leave aside to cool, then remove cooked dough; put into the kou fun. Use a plastic dough cutter to cut dough into equal pieces.
Mix peanuts, sesame seeds and sugar together in a bowl.
Take a piece of dough, wrap around a teaspoon of filling and form into a big ball. Toss into the kou fun and coat evenly. Serve the black lor mai chee balls immediately.
