Recipe Ingredient

  • 2 big crabs
  • (A)
  • 10g tong kwai slices, soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 tbsp kei chi
  • 10g young ginger, sliced
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients (A) in a small bowl. Put into a steamer and steam for 12-15 minutes.
  2. Transfer steamed herbs into a shallow casserole. Place crabs on the herbs and steam for 10 minutes. Pour Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine over crabs and continue to steam for another 6-7 minutes.
  3. Add sesame oil and a dash of pepper. Remove the crabs and serve immediately.
