Recipe Ingredient

  • 100g boned chicken meat, minced
  • Seasoning:
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 1/2 tbsp hot soya bean paste
  • Sauce:
  • 350ml water
  • 1 tsp chicken stock granules
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 pieces soft taufu, cubed
  • Thickening (combined):
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Garnishing:
  • Chopped spring onions
  • Yin sai chilli strips

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken meat with seasoning. Heat oil in a kuali and fry garlic and ginger till fragrant. Add hot bean paste and stir-fry for an extra minute.
  2. Stir in minced chicken and add in sauce ingredients. Simmer for five to six minutes. Add taufu and continue to cook until mixture turns bubbly. Thicken with cornflour mixture.
  3. Dish up and serve with garnishing.
