Recipe Ingredient

  • 500g boneless pork
  • 2-3 tbsp margarine
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Marinade:
  • 2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground fenugreek
  • 1 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. To make marinade, combine all spices with vinegar and a little water. Rub well into the meat.
  2. Marinate meat for at least several hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Fry onion in margarine for two to three minutes. Stir in meat and bring to a boil. Add bay leaf. Simmer for 40 to 45 minutes until the liquid becomes a thick and rich sauce. Add salt to taste.
