Recipe Ingredient

  • 10 eggs
  • 1 1/2 litres water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • Red edible colouring powder

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil then add in salt. Arrange eggs in a wire mesh basket and lower it into boiling water.
  2. Cover and continue to boil for 8 to 9 minutes or until eggs are boiled. Remove the basket.
  3. Combine water, colouring and vinegar in a large bowl. Dip in eggs one at a time into the coloured mixture. Roll it around to get the shell coated with the colour. Remove and set aside.
