- 2 tbsp chilli paste
- 2 shallots and 1 clove garlic, pounded
- 4 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Heat wok with oil. Add pounded shallots, garlic and chilli paste. Fry until oil rises to the top.
- Add salt, sugar and lemon juice. Mix well and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Dish up and use this chilli sauce for your Hokkien Mee soup.
