Recipe Ingredient

  • 1 oxtail, cut into 5-6 cm pieces
  • 20g tong kwai, sliced thickly
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 1.5 litres hot water
  • Seasoning:
  • Salt and sugar to taste


  1. Parboil oxtail pieces in hot boiling water for 5-6 minutes. Remove and rinse in running tap water.
  2. Combine oxtail, tong kwai, ginger and water in a double-boiler. Double-boil for two hours. Add seasoning to taste then serve soup hot.
