Recipe Ingredient

  • 3 crabs
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp butter/margarine
  • 1 1/2 tbsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • Sauce ingredients
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp thick soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar or to taste
  • 100ml water or chicken stock
  • Thickening
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp water


  1. Clean and cut the crabs in half. Scald them in hot oil till they are 50% cooked. Dish out and set aside.
  2. Combine sauce ingredients and set aside.
  3. Heat butter/margarine and oil in a wok. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add the coarsely ground black pepper and stir-fry briefly.
  4. Add the combined seasoning to the mix. Put the crabs in and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cover the wok. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Add thickening. Stir well to mix then dish out immediately.
