Recipe Ingredient

  • 1/2 cup popping corn kernels
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Use a heavy-based pan with a close fitting lid. Heat the oil and butter in the pan. Just before the oil starts to smoke, add the corn kernels. The kernels should just cover the base of the pan in an even layer. Put on the lid and wait for the popping to stop, shaking the pan occasionally.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and sprinkle in salt and pour the honey over. Stir thoroughly until the popped corn is well coated. Dish out to cool slightly before serving.
