Recipe Ingredient

  • Bottom layer:
  • 2 tbsp agar-agar powder
  • 50ml thick coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100ml UHT milk
  • 600ml water
  • Syrup - bring to boil and strain:
  • 100ml water
  • 100g gula melaka
  • 50g castor sugar
  • 1 pandan leaf, knotted
  • Top layer:
  • 125g castor sugar
  • 50ml water
  • 1 1/2 tsp agar-agar powder
  • 200ml thin coconut milk
  • 100g cream-style sweetcorn
  • 50ml UHT milk


  1. To make bottom layer: Put agar-agar powder and water in a pot and bring to a low boil. Add strained syrup, salt and thick coconut milk. Bring to a boil, then add the milk and turn off the heat immediately. Pour into a wet mould. Leave aside to partially set.
  2. To make top layer: Combine sugar, water and agar-agar powder and bring to a boil. Add coconut milk and sweetcorn, and stir well. Lastly, add milk. Pour mixture over half-set bottom layer. Leave aside to cool, then chill well before serving.
