Recipe Ingredient

  • 1 pig heart
  • 400g lean meat
  • 10-12 red dates, seeds removed
  • 15g dried longan meat
  • 20g dried lotus seeds
  • 2 tbsp kei chi
  • 1 litre water
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Wash pig's heart and remove the blood around the blood vessels. Drain off any impurities.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a deep pot and simmer covered for 1½ hours.
  3. Top up with more liquid if necessary. Add salt to taste.
  4. Serve this soup piping hot.
