  • 1 can (200g) sardines, bones removed and flaked
  • 1 Bombay onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped red chillies
  • 1 tbsp curry meat powder
  • Juice of one lime
  • Glaze (combine by lightly beating):
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick saucepan, fry garlic until fragrant. Add flaked sardines, meat curry powder, lime juice, chilli and onion. Stir-fry until well combined and gravy turns thick. Remove and set aside to cool.
  2. Roll out the pastry and cut into eight or nine squares. Put a tablespoonful of cooled filling on one side of the pastry. Fold over diagonally to form a triangle.
  3. Use a fork to press or hold down the edge. Brush with a little glaze and place on a lightly greased baking tray.
