Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, baking soda and salt in large mixing bowl.
Combine the flour gradually (otherwise you'll have a big snowstorm in your kitchen!)
Stir in pecans.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Take tablespoons of batter and drop onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 375¢XF oven (350¢XF if you're using an electric oven) for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Check along the way because every oven is different! Let stand for 2 minutes and then remove to cool.
