Recipe Ingredient

  • 1/2 pound butter, softened
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 2
  • 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 oz. chopped pecans
  • 18 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, baking soda and salt in large mixing bowl.
  2. Combine the flour gradually (otherwise you'll have a big snowstorm in your kitchen!)
  3. Stir in pecans.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Take tablespoons of batter and drop onto ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a preheated 375¢XF oven (350¢XF if you're using an electric oven) for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Check along the way because every oven is different! Let stand for 2 minutes and then remove to cool.
