Butter Cake


250g butter
4 eggs
180g sugar
300g self-raising flour
21/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla essence


Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time and mix well.

Sieve flour and baking powder. Then, fold in flour and mix well. Add vanilla essence.

Pour into an 8in round tin.

Bake for 40-45min at 180 degrees Celsius.
