Experienced chefs share 4 Hari Raya recipes

THE month long Hari Raya celebration will come to an end next week. If you are still hosting open houses and looking to serve traditional and modern dishes on the festive table, we have just the right Raya Recipes for you.

Chef Syamsul Idham Musa and Chef Yuzrem Ezri Mohd Yunus have come up with recipes, ranging from the reliable favourites to the decadent desserts. The two chefs are from INTI International University & Colleges, School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, and both have a great deal of experience in the culinary field.

Chef Syamsul Idham Musa’s specialty is in pastry and bakery, and has served at hotels throughout Malaysia such as Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort, Tanjung Rhu Resort and J.W Marriott Hotel, to name a few. Since moving to the educational field in 2008, he has been actively organising competitions and participating in several himself.

Meanwhile, Chef Yuzrem Ezri Mohd Yunus, has a few star-studded experiences during the course of his career; one being when he cooked for the fifth Malaysian Prime Minister during the official launching of UiTM Penang in 2004. Yuzrem actively participates in international culinary events including workshops and competitions to further enhance his teaching and training skills.
