Recipe Ingredient

  • 800g flower crabs
  • 2 big onions, cut into thin rings
  • Spices:
  • 2 tbsp chilli paste
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 sprigs karupillay leaves
  • 10 cilipadi, finely sliced
  • Seasoning:
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce (nampla)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Maggi chicken granules
  • Dash of pepper
  • Garnishing:
  • Coriander leaves
  • Chopped spring onions
  • Chilli curls

Instructions

  1. Clean crabs well then cut into halves. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil and saute spices till fragrant. Add in onion rings and fry till soft.
  2. Add in crabs and stir-fry well. Mix in seasoning and cook till crabs turn colour and gravy is thick. Dish out and serve with garnishing.
