Recipe Ingredient

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celcius.
  2. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar. Beat together vanilla extract and eggs. Add in egg mixture into butter mixture. Mix well.
  4. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Stir until just blended. Fill cupcake cases until half full.
  5. Bake at 175 degrees Celcius for 20-23 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Leave to cool on cooling rack.
