Grilled Mushrooms

Ingredients

400g fresh shitake mushrooms
50ml virgin olive oil
1 tbsp minced sage
1 tbsp minced oregano
1 tbsp minced thyme
1 tbsp minced basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Remove and discard stems from the mushrooms. Lightly score the mushrooms with a sharp knife then brush both sides with olive oil.

Combine all the herbs together and rub mushrooms lightly with the herb combination. Sprinkle over with salt and pepper.

Grill the mushrooms over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the juices form in the caps and the mushrooms are tender. Remove and serve hot.
