  • 1Tbsp corn flour

  • 1/4tsp salt

Instructions

    Filling
  1. In a pot, boil gula melaka, water and pandan leaves until it becomes a syrup. Strain it.
  2. Add it back into the pot along with the grated coconut and all-purpose flour. Cook with small flame, constantly stirring till the mix becomes sticky
  3. Leave it chill before dividing them into 10g each . Set aside
  4. Dough
  5. In a bowl, mash the steamed pumpkin, add salt, Anchor cream and all-purpose flour. Mix till evenly distributed.
  6. Gradually add the glutinous rice flour into the mix, till it forms a smooth soft dough
  7. Separate a 20g dough out and add some cocoa powder to make it brown (this will be our pumpkin stem)
  8. Remaining dough, divide to 30g pieces
  9. Flatten and fill each dough with some filling before rounding them
  10. Use a toothpick to shape the filled dough to make it look like pumpkin. Then, shape the cocoa powder dough to resemble pumpkin stems and place it on top of the main dough. Glue it with some water
  11. Layer the steamer with banana leaves and steam the doughs for 6 minutes at medium flame
  12. Meanwhile, prepare the sweet gravy by cooking all ingredients in a pot, till thicken.
  13. Once done, add the steamed doughs into the sweet gravy and it is ready to be served!
