THIS month, get ready to try over 50 types of premium and craft beers at Malaysia’s very first beer festival, Brewfest 2012!
From May 17-19, Publika @ Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur, will play host to a unique event that brings together myriad brews from all over the world, including Belgium, Japan, Scotland and Australia, many of which are not readily available in the local market.
Among the brands featured are Timmermans, J. Boag & Sons, Chimay, Triple Karmeliet, Trappistes, Yona Yona Ale, Hitachino Nest, Thornbridge, 3 Ravens and Mornington.
Besides the beer, there will also be live performances all through the weekend, stand-up comedy shows by Douglas Lim, and local celebrity DJs to entertain the crowd.
Brewfest will be opened to the public from 5.30pm to 1am on May 17, and from 5pm to 1am on May 18 and 19. Admission is RM58 for day one (inclusive of a free beer) and RM68 each for day one and two (inclusive of two free beers). An all-access pass is also available for all three days, priced at RM128 (inclusive of two beers per day).
