CELEBRATE Christmas and New Year at Grand BlueWave Hotel Shah Alam’s Semarak Cafe with an array of local and western delights.

On Christmas Eve, dinner is 6.30pm to 11pm, at RM85++ per adult.

At the Christmas Eve food preview, the press were served a selection of items from the menu such as Grilled Salmon on Pimento Sauce, Vegetable Au Gratin, Roasted Duck on Orange Sauce, Baked Lasagna, and Pilaf rice, which is a nice alternative to plain white rice.

Appetisers include seafood Salad with Pesto, Chicken Terrine, Prawn Cocktail in Glass, and salads.

For desserts, there were Christmas Log, Panna Cotta, Pudding in Glass, and Christmas Cookies. The Lemon Meringue Tart and Chocolate Cake get a thumbs-up from me.

The Ginger Bread House was untouched though, as no one had the heart to destroy the nicely-made dessert.

On Christmas Day, enjoy a Yuletide High Tea from noon to 4pm, at RM55++ per adult.

Main dishes include Roasted Stuffed Chicken with Risotto, Stuffed Beef Roll with Demi Glace Sauce, Pan-fried Prawn with Parsley, Buttered Root Vegetables, Baked Seafood Pasta and more.

Desserts inlcude Blueberry Cheese cake, Mango Pudding in Glass, Chocolate Praline, and of course, Christmas Log and Christmas cookies.

Bid adieu to 2011 with the New Year’s Eve dinner from 6.30pm to 11pm, at RM85++ per adult.

Main dishes include Mexican Chicken, Beef Stroganoff, Lamb Leg Tajine, Ostrich Goulash, Rolled salmon on Coriander Sauce, and Yorkshire Pudding.

Also on the menu are Grilled Corn on the Cob, Parsley Potato, Griled Garden vegetables, and baked Macarona.

Start the New Year with high tea from noon to 4pm, at RM55++ per adult.

Enjoy local delights like Daging Masak Merah, Kari Kepala Ikan, Nasi Minyak, Ayam Kurma and Curry Mee with Condiments.

Other main dishes include Roasted Chicken with Rosemary Sauce, Seafood Pizza, Baked Macaroni, and Grilled Kofta with BBQ Sauce.

At the live stations, there will be chicken and beef satay, assorted pasta with three types of sauces, tempura with condiments and chicken sharwarma with condiments.

Desserts include assorted Malay kuih, Sago Gula Melaka, French Pastries, Mung Bean Soup, Bread Butter Pudding with Vanilla Sauce, and ABC (shaved ice) with Condiments.

On all four days, there will be Roasted Turkey with Walnut Stuffing & Cranberry and Giblet Sauce. The halal-certified turkey is imported from Australia.

On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, there will be barbecued items like Veal Bratwurst Sausage, Shish Kebab, Lamb Shoulder and Flipper Lobster with Mint, BBQ and Mushroom Sauce as well as an assortment of seafood items.

There is a 50% discount for children between the ages of four and 11, as well as senior citizens aged 55 years above.
