The crustaceans are great when flamed over coals while the more delicate fishes are best when cooked inside banana leaves and foil which impart a unique flavour.

“Grilled seafood is a typical Portuguese dish and very popular in Malacca. The key element is the sauce which we make ourselves.

“Penangites will love this fusion of spicy and sour flavours,” said executive sous chef Ong Ban Khoon, who worked in Malacca a few years ago.

But before having the seafood, hit the appetiser section brimming with vibrant selections of salads, cheeses, seafood on ice and cold cuts with condiments and more.
