ELEVATE your Valentine experience this year by taking your loved one to a romantic place where the sunset gilds her cheeks and the city sprawls out under your feet.

For the first time, Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar is opening up its Executive Lounge on the 26th floor, normally accessible to only executive guests, to love birds on Valentine’s Day.

Thanks to ceiling-to-floor glass panels, guests are pampered to a panorama of the city on top of the special four-course dinner prepared by the La Cucina Mediterranean Kitchen located at the hotel’s main lobby.

Aptly named “Love is in the Air”, the menu comes in three options.

Juicy: Black Angus Beef Tenderloin.

For appetiser, diners can choose either the Foie Gras Terrine or Salmon and Barramundi Carpaccio and Caprese.

The salmon is a refreshing way to set the mood right. With salmon roe, micro cress salad and a sprinkling of nuts, this dish lures with contrasting textures. A dash of homemade citrus green oil completes the good blend of tangy flavours.

As for soup, diners have a choice of cauliflower, crab bisque or tomato gazpacho. The gazpacho sports a unique presentation as it is served in a glass so that the intense, layered flavours of the chilled soup can be appreciated slowly.

Black Angus Beef Tenderloin is one of the main courses to choose from. Complementing the succulent meat is a dash of port wine jus and pan-friend polenta moistened with bearnaise sauce.

Sweet ending: The dainty Raspberry Mousse.

If you prefer a lighter meal, opt for Caramelised Crispy Roasted Duck Breast or Pan-Seared White Cod Fish (top pic) . The duck dish is paired with a selection of greens for a balanced meal, orange-mixed lentil stew, carrot and celeriac mash are added in too to achieve a variety of textures.

Saute shimeji and baletus mushroom lend a touch of excitement to the cod dish, while a spiral of lobster oil heightens the taste.

To round up the memorable evening, the three dessert options are Raspberry Mousse, Triple Chocolate Pleasure as well as Chocolate Tart and Vanilla Creme Brulee.

The exclusive dinner is priced at RM250nett per person with a glass of Champagne. It is only limited to 35 tables.

Alternatively, the “Be my Valentine” four-course Western dinner at La Cucina is RM160nett per person.
