Subang Jaya USJ 4 restaurant has wide array of dishes at decent prices.

ONE of my recent discoveries is an Indian makan place off Persiaran Tujuan in Subang Jaya.

This place was recommended by my colleague T. Selva who lives in the township.

Eh Sam, you must try this restaurant on Jalan USJ 4/1D. The southern Indian dishes there are pretty good and the prices are also decent,” he said.

Selva also indicated that the shop had no signboard and could be missed by people passing by.

“Just go to the Petronas station in USJ 4 and follow the slip road, the restaurant is one of the last few shops along the same row,” he instructed.

So, I checked out this place on my day off and found the place, just like Selva had described it.

Since I was the “early bird” there, I found myself a table and ordered a plate of parboiled rice.

The selection of dishes were pretty impressive as I slowly picked the choice morsels.

Freshly prepared dishes.

For a generous portion of chicken varuvel, curried okra and cabbage, my meal came up to RM6.50.

On the Samo-scale, I would rate the food at 6 out of 10. This is pretty decent for Subang Jaya standards and by the time I was done, the shop was slowly filling up with hungry customers.

Later, I asked one of the men who marked my order and was told that the restaurant is called AYC.
