Recipe Ingredient

  • 6 cili padi
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 tbsps oil
  • 2 stalks of lemon grass, pounded lightly
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup thick coconut milk
  • 2 MAGGI® Tom Yam Cubes
  • 1 MAGGI® Ikan Bilis Cube
  • Limau purut leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 2 tbsps lime juice
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, cut in half


  1. Pound cili padi, garlic and shallots to a smooth paste. Heat oil in a deep pot. Fry pounded ingredients and lemon grass until fragrant.
  2. Add water and bring to the boil. Add coconut milk, MAGGI® Tom Yam Cubes, MAGGI® Ikan Bilis Cube and limau purut leaves.
  3. Allow the mixture to boil slightly. Finally add salt, pepper, sugar and lime juice.
  4. Place hard-boiled eggs in a soup bowl. Pour the hot soup over the boiled eggs and serve immediately.
