Recipe Ingredient

  • 250g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 180g sugar
  • 300g self-raising flour
  • 21/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence


  1. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time and mix well.
  3. Sieve flour and baking powder. Then, fold in flour and mix well. Add vanilla essence.
  4. Pour into an 8in round tin.
  5. Bake for 40-45min at 180 degrees Celsius.
