Recipe Ingredient

  • 300g fish fillet (red snapper or garoupa), cut into 1cm thick slices and seasoned lightly with soy sauce
  • Seasoned flour (mix together):
  • 55g flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg white
  • (A) Mix together:
  • 100g bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp monosodium glutamate
  • 1 tsp baking powder


  1. Toss fish fillet in seasoned flour. Dip in egg white and coat with (a). Deep fry fish fillet in medium hot oil. When fish is cooked, dish out, drain then place on a serving plate.
  2. Serve with tartar sauce and other accompaniments such as potatochips, mixed vegetables, lettuce, cucumber and tomato slices.
