Recipe Ingredient

  • 1 cup water
  • 150-200g gula melaka
  • 300g brown sugar
  • 300g granulated sugar
  • 250g thick coconut milk (pati santan)
  • 3-4 pandan leaves


  1. Bring all the ingredients (except coconut milk and pandan) to a boil and simmer till all sugars dissolve. Add pandan leaves and simmer for three to five minutes. Add santan and bring to a low boil. Switch off fire and leave to cool before using.
